Meet the designer

Jasmine Irene is a multipotentialite worldbuilder working across art, engineering, interior, set and production design. She creates immersive environments where technical precision and innovation meet visual storytelling. As a Cal Poly San Luis Obispo alum having studied Construction Management, she has spent over a decade helping construct some of Los Angeles' most complex, sustainable and design-forward projects, including AMPAS, the SLS Hotel Beverly Hills and the Ritz-Carlton Residences at LA Live. Through that experience Jasmine has gained the structural literacy, material expertise and a trained design eye, which she brings to all of her work.

Circularity is at the core of her independent art practice. My sculptural work is adaptive reuse in its purest form: 3D pieces built from donated magazines, salvaged construction materials and objects found in alleys. “I believe the world already holds everything we need. The work is in reimagining how we use it and the stories it can still tell.”

Outside of professional projects, Jasmine has spent the last nine years restoring her 1911 Los Angeles craftsman home almost single handedly, a pull rooted in growing up around the historic houses of Oakland and a lifelong love of DIY projects. Every choice in the renovation has honored the home's original spirit and her own rather than erasing either, the same instinct that drives the adaptive reuse throughout her projects.
